baby oil...

Yes. :+

All this talk about cold weather running got me to thinking about this item. Often the talk is about preparing the truck and other equipment, but what about ourselves?

You will find yourself warmer in the cold if when you take a shower you use baby oil to get a light coating on your skin. If you have never done this, you will notice a difference the first time when out in the cold... you will be warmer.

Skeptical? So was I when I heard this from the old fella years ago. Since then when he talks I listen very carefully. :)

Good tip. Discovered this while living in New Mexico, not for the same reason, but because it locks in moisture for your skin. Out there, I couldn't live without it. :)

I love using baby oil and your skin does feel good. Did not know about the cold weather though. One thing you have to watch is if you get any on the shower floor it gets very slick.

Terry: I'd rather not know that! Between showers, I keep a little jar of Burt's Beeswax in a basket on the dash, where the sun warms it to almost liquid, and I rub it on arms & legs every day. I don't know if it keeps me warmer, but it sure smells good - when I don't grab the little cup of peanut butter by mistake, anyway...:+
