Trying to limp the truck into Jacksonville. Transmission not acting right and can't get it into KW till Monday morning. Not too thrilled at the moment.

Finished our load in NYC, 4 deliveries. HARD DAY. We are in Suffern, pick up near here on Sun, heading for NC.

Sitting in Oak Grove at Petro waiting for load. If we don't get a load by morning will most likely move to Boonville Mo. Pilot that has Idle Aire for the weekend. Should be able to cover loads from St. Louis and KC from there.

Is it an auto shift?

Yep, a 10 speed ultrashift. Pull up to a red light, step on the fuel, nothing happens. Shift into N, then back into D and it works, but won't shift out of 5th. Shut the truck off, then back on and it works fine, for a bit then it acts up. It's fine at highway speeds.

Trydisconnecting the battery cables. Wait at least 10 minutes and then reconnect. It sounds like it is in protect mode.

We'll try that in the morning. Made it to the Flying J at St. Augustine. Probably were going to spend the weekend here anyway. Now just have to wait and see what that pesky hurricane is going to do. Thanks for the info!

Get out of there before any storms hit. They are money losers! NEVER ride out a storm in your truck. GET IT OUT OF DODGE! I speak from experience.

I was thinking the same thing as jjoerger, I believe you will need a 9/16" to get the cables off. Just be careful that you don't hit a positive terminal as you are taking off the negative.

The hurricane is expected to lose its power quickly, the media is just getting a kick out of reporting that the RNC is in it's path.

It is just losing strength because it knows it cannot compete with all the other "blowhards" that are already in Florida.
