Deer are so fun to watch. People get this idea about how graceful they are, NOT!! They trip and fall as much or more than we do!! They run into trees. When they are rutting well, picture a teenage boy who has never.............. and he might............. and ...................... LOL!!!!! NO CONTROL! A buck can lose almost 30% of his body weight during the rut!! Talk about a one track mind!!

That was a nice ending. There was a time when my freind and I ran airfreight dedicated for a company in Nashville back in 1998. It seems he hadthis thing about standing on his step and peeing at 5 am. So I took a condom and strategically placed it on his step, filled with mayonaise. He stepped on it, about turned green, and was shaking his foot while holding onto the cab handle trying to get it off of his foot.I was siting on the floor laughing seeing this. He never peed outside again, though.

Stuck at work in beautiful northwest Ohio. Spending the day setting up even more computers. School starts Wednesday. So much fun.

The eldest daughter went back to school yesterday (BGSU). The other two start their senior year this week. The nest will soon be empty. Hopefully by this time next year, we may be on the road, or at least getting close.

Went outside last night to unload the salt for the water softener out of the wife's car ..... and there they were in our side yard, about 25' away: the buck, the doe, and her fawn from this year, who has finally lost his spots .... it's almost a daily occurrence ....

They all looked up at me ..... the buck just went back to browsing almost immediately like he could really care ..... the fawn and doe were a little nervous and moved off in a minute or two, to about 75' away, over by the apple tree.

The doe will probably not make it thru the coming winter .... right front leg was, or is, broken .... she's been limping around on three legs since spring .... probably should just be taken this coming season.

Me thinks the buck has made a poor choice.

My ex got a 3 legged doe one year. We didn't know she was missing a front leg until after he took her down as she was running like the wind through the woods.

I loved the small loads, they paid alot more per mile than large ones, and could make a good day if a person got enough of them that day. That is what I did in 89, and I made a killing at it, while being able to be home at night 5 times and weekends off. But,of course, things were different back then.
