We just pulled into the Garlic Farm in Gilroy, CA (sorry to say) Not the nicest truck stop on the face of the earth but only 22 miles out from our Monday delivery in San Jose. Praying for a quick exit from the granola state. Layoutshooter

I wish you luck also in that area. Much better for a T-Val truck then an Express truck. We are in your neck of the woods in Monroe, MI with a short lift gate load planned for tomorrow.

WOW, and we are not there!! Too bad. If you get the chance try the Monroe Bar and Grill on Monroe street in Monroe. Big lot out back and maybe parking of side streets or take a cab from the truck stop. Good food, nothing fancy. Fair prices and the portions are huge!! You could split a meal or buy two and have them the next day again. Nice atmosphere inside. Good lighting and lots of oak. You would like it. I don't know if they are open because of Easter, otherwise they are open on Sunday. Layoutshooter

We have a good spot at the J, if we move we'll lose it. ;)
If we move it's more DH. (We've already moved from Miami) If we rent a car, we spend money that we aren't making sitting here etc etc..

We are still in the Granola state. We moved out to the Casa de Fruite. Much nicer than the Garlic Farm. Sure hope we don't have to wait too long, we would love to get out of here and head out into an area with more freight. Layoutshooter

After spending Easter weekend in SC (where it's nice and green and warm) we got a load yesterday afternoon going to Battle Creek, MI where we are now. It's cold and rainy and yucky. :( I'm ready to go back down south!

I would kill to be in your shoes, layout. When we were out west, we stayed busy. Long runs, good money.

We've been stuck on the east coast since a home break last month. I should not complain, however. Got a load from Owings Mills, MD, to Toronto, that took us right by sister's house for layover en route on Easter. Thought we'd be stuck in Canada, but got a load that delivered to a town near Cape Cod this morning.

We appear to be staying in Providence, RI for the evening. Known only to me as freight wasteland (second to Parkersburg, WV).

We wanted to go west after going back in service last month, but am thankful to have avoided all of the nasty weather.

I'm ready for it now, though.

Sitting at the Panther den, here in Oh, been a little slower than I like , but hey....were in a recession!....other driver is back in the truck, so maybe we will get back in the loop and start rolling soon, or we will be sitting at orientation, trying to get a free meal!!
