If you get time in Vegas, you're close to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.

Near vegas is red rock canyon park the road is big enuff for buses up there and it is 13 miles long with off shoot roads . Has i dont know how many walking climbing paths but if you do go make sure to take a liter of water with you snd take breaks do to height elevation/thinner air.
