After an exciting and a "pita" friday night, dispatch comes through and I'll be picking up in the morning heading to Ala for a Monday AM delivery...makes the week end up good where it was looking as a pretty poor one....

At home going back in service on Monday at 0900 possibly Sunday night.

Had a good friday afternoon with the kids and did some maint on the truck today. Changed out the u-joints on the steering shaft ( that was fun ) installed a new fuel tank strap. Even did some work on my right arm!

Sunday is taking the little kids to see the Easter Bunny and bowling, then out to dinner. Everyone be safe.

Road King Last Monday we got loaded out of Macallen Tx about 150 miles s/e or Laredo took that to Chicago. Heads up if you go Los Indios to pick up the DOT is hell! dot your i's and cross your t's.

Your best bet, hire a vet! Please.

Part of Guido's problem is...he's still thinking straight truck....wrong....think CV...
you may have the adjustment to make...
I'll be after your loads as well...*L*

Short learning curve, you may get me once or twice, but then I'll get ya! Lol By the way ordered the Sprinter Wed. Might know something this week about time line.

Good Luck with that Sprinter...Did you say you are going with a floating sleeper system? or permanent bunk?

I am thinking about that sofa sleeper that folds up against the wall. With it down, I can fit 2 skids. With it up, I will have full length. On the other hand, I found some pretty nice cots at LL Beans and Cabellas.I want to keep as light as I can, but have some comfort.

Here is my action plan. But not etched in stone. Insulate the van. Yamah 2400 generator, portable 9k btu AC, Mr Buddy heater / 20 # bottle, the wall mount garage organizer with the baskets (saves on a lot of weight), I do have to build a cabinet for my laptop and printer. The laptop will also be my tv. I have a big screen laptop so I bought a Hauppauge USB HDTV digital tuner with a omni directional us digital antenna. WOW, works great. Gonna add 1 gp 31 deep cycle battery and a 1500 watt inverter/charger for my coffee pot, fan and laptop. Coming out of the straight truck with that big fridge and micro wave, for me, I don't need it. Some nutter butters a little fruit till I get to where I want to eat is all I need. That's about it.

See above, not permanent. I want to keep the cash box as open to freight as I can. For me, no sense having 15.3' of cargo space and not be able to make money off of it.

Basically I am getting the 2500 with the 3500 9900# GVWR suspension. The only difference will be dualies and front wheel bearings.
