Still waiting on the roof guy to show up. Maybe he meant 11pm

Sadly, it's not the 1st time he has given me the no show no call. I was hoping that almost 3 years later he had improved in this area. I guess somethings don't change.

He does good work at a reasonable price...if you can get him to show up
I feel your pain. When I was at home last week, I scheduled our heating and cooling company to come out and price us a new furnace, and a/c unit. Waited all day and he was a no show/No call. GRRR

I had another company that was suppose to come out 2 years ago for a new furnace estimate. Still waiting on that one  I can understanding getting tied up at another job, or over booked, but to not even make a quick call to your customer who has been waiting all day is unacceptable and rude.

Could you image the hell we would get, if we just didn't show up or call :bsflag:
For all the people who are crying and whining about the lack of jobs in this country you can't even get them to show up for work when there is some to be had...we even have the same problem in South Dakota everybody whines about no work but want to comes to it they don't want to do it

It's more like lack of understanding of what your job responsibilities are and absence of required skills. New people getting into trade can't or don't want to learn from old timers how to do it properly. They just want to make as much as they can with as little work as possible. I feel bad for new generations of tradesman, but if they don't have grit, they will always fail, and our services will deteriorate.
Not all are like this, but I see a trend.

Good Morning. 2nd coffee going down. Didn't sleep well at all. Must of still been worried about my roof leak :dash2:

I keep eyeing up my 2nd floor window, wondering if I can climb up to the top roof from there. I'm pretty sure I know what needs to be done, just scared to death to attempt a roof climb

Not worth it. Risks are high, rewards are minimal.
Nobody else can fix it for you? There got to be other roofers in the area.

I remember getting one guy making a vent hole in the roof for me, he didn't charge that much. And I am in Taxaschusetts. One of the most expensive states to live.
You just need it sealed?
Hour or less job, I think.

Yeah, pretty sure it's the the vent pipe or attic vent that needs to be sealed.
Was only trying to get this guy to do it is because:

A- He put the new roof on 3 years ago and did lots of other work for me.
B- Checked out other people, but didn't sound like they would be able to get out while I was still home.

May have to just go with plan B

Got a picture?
I need that for my van too.

It's called flex seal and now they've got a flex tape too

I'll pass on the house roof part. But I think I'll hit the van roof with it today. The last big rain we had showed I need to do a little more ;)
