Yeah they got the headlines but did you know it wasn't a United airlines plane or crew involved in that incident. I believe it was a Republic Airlines and crew. Under contract to fly connector flights. (But United did get the headline news.)

United made the apology. They're the ones to blame!

Here is a story for you :
Golf ball flew into the roadway, hit car #1, cracked windshield, guy in car #1 lost control, hit car #2. Car #2 jumped median, hitting car #3. Car #3, trying to avoid the collision, made into sidewalk, hitting phone booth.
Who do you think was at fault and got sued?
Company that put the phone booth in the wrong place. Biggest and wealthiest companies always easier to target.
Not that subcontractor airline was not at fault, or cops used excessive force. But United CEO was stupid to make those comments and encourage same actions. Big player, with lots of money and at fault - lawyers dream.

I would say, they sorta aceppted the blame (or took the heat).. But Republic did it and it yet has to play out in court yet. Unless there was a settlement I didn't hear about.

Lots of story's just like it and its a product or problem of our court system and attorneys. Doesn't mean the golf ball or phone booth caused the wreck.
Border line soapbox here so I'll just wait for the day in court and not plug this page up with it.

Irrelevant. On the plane in big letters it said 'United' also every uniform of pilots, flight attendants, etc said 'United'. Most importantly, the gate agent that started the whole thing was a United employee. It was all United's fault, 100%.

It will not go to court. United wants this to go away as soon as possible and will pay whatever it takes to settle.

Well this was disappointing. For years I wanted to get some IKEA Trones (storage containers) for my Sprinter.

Finally got some shipped to my house.
Already to install, and I could not find a single safe place to put them.

Everywhere I lined them up looked like a disaster waiting to happen by a high low driver and some off track or too high coming in skids.

Then I remembered all the times I've had to squeeze between the walls and freight to apply straps. Now with the Trones taking up more space, not looking good. I also never factored in the curve of the Sprinter top section that just puts them a little too close for comfort with the freight.

It just looked like it was going to be more trouble then they were worth.

Now to try and return them

Another idea: Those tilt out shelves you mount on wall.

IMO..anything on the walls of a 02-06 model in the first 8 feet is not a good idea....restricts load capabilities and movement...that 4" narrower then North American wide and the oval design comes into play...

Pretty much ruled out any wall mounted storage at this point. Tried again to find at least one suitable place, but no dice. I was going to try to return them, but looks like I'll just hang on to them. Maybe my next vehical will have a little more width to play around with

Side note, IKEA's shipping package sucked. Looked like something I'd expect from EBay. Several pieces of pressed card board held together with duct tape. Package arrived ripped open with one Trone exposed.
Not impressed. Guess I'm a little spoiled by Amazon lol.
