Didn't know Fords have U joints on the driver and passenger side, most rwd vehicles have them inline on the driveshaft. Could you by chance be talking about the pass side wheel bearing? Anyways sorry to hear about the breakdown, they always suck.
I sure hope it isn't the wheel bearing. What's happening is that my tires are shaking right at 70mph, and I am getting a squealing noise coming from the rear passenger side of the van when I brake (almost at a complete stop). I looked up U-joints for a 2007 Ford E350 and apparently they do have them, but when I called my mechanic he said that he's not sure if it's a clip, 2 piece or 3 piece and he's going to have to look at it on Monday or Tuesday. I was also told I may have a caliper on the right side that was possibly sticking so I'm not sure if this can cause the problem or not. yeah, It sucks especially when I just got a really good week.

Just loaded out of Charleston SC headin for Taylor Mich

Stole my 1st ST load...6 skids 48x45x35...3250 lbs...stacked 2 high 3 deep...:D The suspension isn't "squatting" at all...the ft end is not "light" at all...just like driving empty.....This is why I bought this truck....:D

Oh and the driver in my CV has run 6 loads in 5 days this week... right places at the right time...The 1st thing I told him, "if you sit more then 2 days, move...if there are more then 2 vans ahead of you in any one place, move"....he follows directions well..he has let Taylor twice because of more then 2 vans ahead of him and was loaded within 2 hours each time... :D

I wonder if there is an out of balance tire ,a broken belt in the tire on that side as one problem, than the rotor or caliper/clip/pads also, creating another problem? had that happen.

If its a U joint , With the van running hold the brake and shift from r to d and back again and,
listen if you here a clunk its a u joint. Run your hand around the tire and you should be able to feel wavy around the tread if you have a broken belt in your tire. jack up the tire and rotate it by hand and you can here if its a dragging break. Be pro active why wait till monday. Just about any tire store should be able to fix it. Why wait untill mon or tue?

Yes, I know your van has U joints, I used to change quite a few when I worked at a Ford dealer. What I was saying was the the U joints are on the driveshaft. A bad one would not cause a squeeking noise upon braking. A caliper that sticks , an uneven worn rotor/drum or pad/shoe would cause that. Then again it could be a bearing even with the vibration.

I would take the suggestions that were given here and be a little proactive in finding the problem, it might save you some money. If you decide to look at your tire, check to see if one of your wheel weights have fallen off, causing your tire to be improperly balanced, which would also cause a vibration. Simple thing, but I have seen it before.

Jack, the % was the same, but it was a "dock high" rate instead of a sprinter rate...it paid very good..

The funny part was that when i got there I knew it was 6 pieces, but i was think 6 smaller pieces. when they told me 6
48x45x30 skids, my 1st reaction was someone screwed up..that ain't goin n my truck..LOl, took me walking outside and then realizing, wait, yes it will go in stacked!! My mentality was still thinkin CV..

Yeah, it was really annoying and it sounded like squeaky chalk. So I took my van into Pep Boys in Boardman, and they couldn't find anything wrong with the U-joints or bearings. They did find that both rear tires were way out of balance so it ended up costing me 22$. As far as the squealing goes it could have been brake dust. Since it's been raining today I haven't heard a peep. Guess my van is trying to make me a liar LOL. So I'm back in service and got a call earlier from dispatch saying that they had a customer on the phone for a load going to Florence, KY and no return call. I'm assuming that one didn't pan out. :( Prob get out of here tomorrow tho.
