Honesty & integrity are everything, yours will always be viewed as suspect now.
It would have been better for you, IMO, had you not said anything.
It would have been better if LDB had not said anything - even if he's privy to the contents of the PM, posting his comments rather than sending another PM to LLW was a bit on the snarky side, you ask me.
Which no one did, but that's the beauty of public forums.
I don't understand why we can't just let this thing drop. There must be a lot of "tired fingers" from all of the pointing going on. Let this die, get passed it and be happy.

Cheri, I am privy to nothing except my own PM mailbox, oh, and where the paper towels are when it's time to wash the windows around here. We don't know what the PM said but "He should have seen it coming, based on the PM." gives a strong clue. It also provides the answer to EnglishLady's question and makes your "sending a PM" "silly" since that seems to be the word of the day. Perhaps if you switch to clear lenses, as EL is obviously wearing, you'll see what's really there. If you choose to see my comment as "snarky" that is your option but it is just a statement of fact. I do however apologize to you for being busy doing my job recently and not refusing freight to respond more quickly.
I guess it isn't within the realm of possibility that the PM might have been worded in such a way as to warn what the 'apology' would be?

And you may be correct, but without knowing what the PM said, it's LM's call to comment on the 'value' of the sender's word. No one else has any right to assume they know that value, IMO.
PS 'Silly' is what LOS labels a lot of things that aren't even close to fitting the description, and it irks me that he uses it even when [by his own admission] he doesn't know or care who said what. Is it too much to expect a moderator to know what he's commenting on?

I just say what I think needs to be said: one moderator was out of bounds, another adds nothing helpful in defusing the situation by calling it silly, and stating he doesn't know what it's all about.
Moderators who exacerbate flareups don't solve issues, which is a primary component of the job.
Are members not allowed to comment on a moderator's posts?

Is what happens, even if it gets locked: when someone has something to say,they're generally going to say it, sooner or later. I'm done now, but who knows?
I would have locked it after the 1st post....it was more a statement and no comments were needed by letting it drag on, it just degraded to this nonsense........IMO
