Ken is correct,
An over weigh ticket can easily run you 4 dollar a pound, depends on the jurisdiction.
if over on the bridge formula, you can see 6$/p.
AZ is notorious for that.
be aware .
this week i delivered into a WalMart DC.
that facility serve thousand of trucks every week.
only 2 way's to get in. from the north/south , or from the west.
i called ahead for directions, and followed the recorded instructions.
once i cleared the interstate, the instructions took me over 60 millage in states HWY's.
very good roads.
within the last 3 mil's, there where 2 bridges with restricted loads.over small creeks.
one was for 27 ton. the other for 18 ton.
me thinking most delivery trucks are over heavy serving that DC.
i checked the road atlas. no mentions. it IS a truck route.
you just can't win.
