Hi

Im only batting 500 on getting freight out.Im considering taking the rate cut of 2 cents and just not going to CND.Im thinking I'll save the 2 cents by not having to bounce 250 miles back to the US.Love going to Toronto but just can't afford to deadhead.

Bryan,we have noticed in the past year and a half that freight coming out of canada has been very hard to come by.We attribute it to our company's (FECC)expansion of it's canadian fleet.I believe that the canadian drivers are shown favoratism on getting the canadian to u.s. freight. We still accept runs to canada, but we expect higher rates to do it because we know that more than likely we will be deadheading out.

Bryan,

Could you explain your comment about taking a 2 cent rate cut for turning down Canadian freight?

It has been said that Panther pays vans $.77 but gives them the option to leave Canada runs out of their lease agreement and then recieve $.75 for all runs in CONUS. FSC on top of those prices

There are many Canadian expedite companies who take freight into the USA.
Instead of a 250 mile bounce to Detroit; is there nothing originating from western New York (Buffalo)?
It's only around 100 miles to Buffalo from Toronto.
Just a thought.
