I would like to know what the industry is looking like for Solo Straight truck drivers of late?....Please indicate if you are a "C" or "D" unit. Thanks!

You may wanna consider that......no matter what numbers you get....you can't do them being on the course much.

My first thought was if I cared to share, I wouldn't be solo, right?;)
Anywhere from 800-3500 is the truth.

Cheri1122 I appreciate your post. As for 800 - 3500.....which number have you been closer to of late?

First quarter has been better than usual [especially the week I took off to spend in Fla with my daughters, lol:D] avg around 2000.

I haven't been out here as long as most, however I've seen anywhere from 700-3200 per week, averaging about 1800.

Holy smokes, as a solo, I'm averaging around 1200/week and as high as 1500. As a team, before going solo recently, 2-2400 was a decent week. I've certainly done more, but I have to wonder how a solo can run 3500/week, given the legal hours and tendency to get sent shorter loads???? Enlighten me, I'm an apt pupil!:D
I forgot to mention, I am a D unit in both cases and have been expediting 2 years. Have certainly run 4000+ per week, but loads were better.

It's rare, but every now & then, the stars line up just right - or I'm just in the right place at the right time, lol.
Last week was just shy of 2200 miles. :)

Well, I must meet up with you, so that I may rub the top of your head for luck! LOL! Sheesh, that would be ideal. I'd be thrilled with about 1750-2000 per week as a solo, but they always manage to get me in the land of mini's or under 200 milers. Now I have had several 400+ milers recently, so I won't complain too loudly. I do hate getting into swaps, because no matter which end of them I am on, I always seem to get shafted.....royally.

While it wouldn't be much of a stretch [short people humor, lol], it wouldn't do you much good, either. It's not good luck - it's finding a carrier that finds loads for their trucks, rather than vice versa - meaning a smaller one. I am never pressured to accept a load [well, almost never], because dispatch asks before they bid it, and if I 'don't wanna' [also rare], they keep looking.
I've found the place I'm happy - I like the carrier, love the truck owner, and for as long as it continues, we are all looking out for each other. :)

As a D unti team we did just under 12000 miles for March. That is with taking three days off at home while the truck was being worked on.

Your miles will depend a lot on 1. the company you drive for. 2. Your location (Where you land and what loads are going out). And 3 (the biggest) just plain ole luck of the draw.

Thats true Cheri but it is still luck as well when it comes to the load. You may be sitting in line say 3rd out with two other trks. First trks gets 2000 mile load to CA. Whoopy Second trk get 1500 mile load to TX whoopy! Then your turn you get 250 mile load to IN. lol Just plain ole luck. :)

That's another advantage with a smaller carrier: I'm rarely anything other than first out, lol. :)
