You are misinformed, I contacted OOIDA today about the scam artist who owned LRT, they say, " oh your not only driver thats called about them" and I responded "ok well can you help me out" and they said "NO" paid 45 dollars for that...

What reason did they give for not being able to help?

WVC: if you expect OOIDA to intervene in every carrier vs O/O dispute, how much will they have left to intervene in disputes between us and the federal agency that makes unreasonable regulations that we must obey? Because that's what they do with the money, and I'm all for it. If I had a carrier default on a contract, I'd take it to small claims court - OOIDA goes after bigger fish.

I was one of the lucky ones, I only got burned for about 800, John Petrus probably already spent that money at strip club...OOIDA has the resources to crush the LRTs of the world if they wanted...but the Federal Government..not so much.

I know what you are saying,,,but the rules are the rules.... it says to check every pre-trip....he should have known better then to say that....

Its like when doing a border crossing....they'll ask did you lock your truck when you went in for that coffee....well No sir....I didn't....well DOH....

Flares and triangles are not safety related?

While boating with the Navy and doing the aviation thing, we had to preflight, and post flight everytime we went up and landed and other inspections, so pre truck and post truck inspection to me if I was a driver would be no big deal, PS, those inpections sheets were read by the chief and you did not want to be grilled by the chief, believe me, it aint a pretty picture. ok, 2cents is over.
