Any idea what could cause this?

Lately I have been getting dizzy and kind of shaking and I'm fine if I eat a pack of crackers for a little bit then it hits me again. This happens whether I'm hungry or just ate doesn't matter.

About 10 minutes ago I went to the restroom and urinated blood and had a burning sensation. My side has been aching since just a little before that. Didn't think anything of it until I saw blood in the water and now I'm just a little scared of what it could be.

Get yourself to a doc...the shakiness might be low blood sugar (prediabetic) but the other I don't have a clue..bladder infection perhaps? try sucking on a hard candy for the shakiness..

Clearly, you need to go to a doctor. Blood in the urine is actually a pretty common problem. It could be the onset of diabetes (the dizzy part), kidney stones, bladder cancer, or prostate cancer (or an enlarged prostate which is common in older men), a urinary tract infection. Or more than one of the above. Or none of the above. Sometimes blood in the urine is a sign of a serious problem in the urinary tract, while other times it is not serious and requires no treatment at all. Only after a thorough evaluation by a doctor should blood in the urine be attributed to a non-serious cause, so assume it's serious. Getting dizzy adds to the problem, and the two may be connected or not.

Thanks juju and misskatt. Spoke with my mom also who is a med assistant and she said the same thing. Just a little scared it could be bad news.

It sounds like hypoglycemia [low blood sugar, not necessarily connected to or indicative of diabetes], but it would be highly unusual when you've just eaten.

Better you find out, from someone who can properly diagnose it, and sooner is better. If you like, you can Google 'call a nurse' for whatever location you're in, and get better info on whether it's an emergency or urgent issue.
Let us know how it turns out, ok?

Blood in your urine can be caused by many things including aspirin, a lot of exercise, kidney issues, or infections in the urinary tract. If the pain you are having is in or near your kidneys I would get somewhere fast. If not I might go to an urgent care in the morning.

Get yourself to the DR right away. I understand the 'bad news' stuff. That bad new could get much worse if you ignore it.

Pain that is caused by a kidney issue is not necessarily felt near the kidneys at all. It can be felt as lower back or generalized abdominal pain.
Trust me on that one - been there, done that, lost the kidney.

Not worth taking a needless risk. Get medical attention sooner vs later. Especially if you are operating a truck. Yours and others lives could be at risk if an accident happens.

Jake you need to eat right and drink more water. I had the same problem when I first started out driving. I would sit behind the wheel without stopping for eight hours, then jump out of the seat to fast and get a head rush. I would get the shakes because I wasn't eating right and only ate once a day. You need to stop ever four hours and get out the truck and walk around to get the blood flowing again when your driving.

Jake when you don't drink enough water, which I know you don't because you told me that you drink diet coke more than anything. I was the same way with Mountain Dew and went in for my DOT check up and had the same problem. The Doctor asked me if my seat was air ride and did I bounce up and down in the seat a lot. I said yea, when I go into places with bad roads. So when I drive now I don't raise the seat up to high now because the bouncing is hard on the Kidneys, which can cause blood in your pee. The Doctor also said I needed to lay off the pop and drink more water. I would get it checked out and do like JuJu said Drink some OJ.

the statement about aspirin is true also several other pain relievers. especially advil and ibuprofen. so if you have been taking pain relievers for the stomach pain. this could be causing the blood in your urine. GET TO A DOCTOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
