Any company hiring 1994 or newer Cargo Vans?

I have been cleared to hire on to a company featured on here, but they require 1996 vans, and newer. Does anyone know if there is anyone hiring at least 1994, or 1995 vans? There are a lot of 1995 vans I have had to pass up, because the company didn't want them leased to them. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I know you don!t want to hear this but none of the major expediting companies will put on a 9 year old van or straight truck. You might find a small start up operation or a local companmy that is looking for a courier type of van to run in a small territory. The major players want reliability over everything and they think anything over 5 years in spite of it!s maintenance record is unreliable. Good luck.

Well Rich, hate to burst your bubble, but Panther II hires 1996 or newer. 3/4 ton to 1 ton. They are a major company. I have found lots of 1995's for cheap money with mileage a fourth of the newer vans on the road today. Don't try to enligthen me, but there are vans out there a few years older, a lot better condition than the ones traveling on the road today, you just have to look.

>1996 or newer. How is that busting Rich's bubble? He stated that the major players wouldn’t hire 9year old vans or trucks. 1996 according to the way I was taught math is only 8years. Why didn't you ask them when you would've had to replace the 1996. 3/4 ton to 1 ton. They are a major company. I

>enligthen me, I don't think Rich was trying to enlighten you at all. He was stating knowledgeable fact from 20years in the business. Remember you are the one with the screwed up credit, asking the question about the older vans. Seams like the old cliché --- “Truth hurts” really hit home and you can’t handle constructive criticism? You may want to look at yourself in the mirror before you judge others? It wasn’t Rich or anyone else on this forum that created your situation, but you. GOOD LUCK

Had I remembered your very first post on EO, I would have avoided you like the plague. You ask about older vans then and Lawrence and I told you like it is? In fact this is what you had to say:
Every time, I write something in here or other forums, someone always makes me look as if I was stupid, or something. I know all about what needs to be done, just thought I would post so that maybe someone, other than the know it alls, would have a back in the mind thought, that might help. Thanks for all your thoughts, any how.

That was an attitude from HE-LL, right out of the box. There may be some truth to the way people are making you feel!!! If you are that negative and paranoid about being stupid, then maybe you really are??? You didn't sound stupid to me, and I was only answering your very own question in the Older Van post, and asking you another question in this thread. At the same time defending Rich's point of view, because so many people out there in the real world, respect and expect Rich, to tell it like it is. You know! Call a spade a spade, and not candy coat things for people that can't handle life on lifes terms.

You will never again have to worry about me making you feel stupid. I will never again reply to another one of your posts. As a member (you)of EO I welcome you and hope you do continue to ask questions, or help others that may need help, from you.

As a Person, I think you are immature (hope I'm wrong)and childish. Only wants to here things that fit into your little world, and I don't have time for someone like that.
Hope you get a van!!!

Brewster, You wanted to hear from a non-know it all? Well, here I am. Figured I might as well weigh in here. NO ONE on this site claims that they know it all, we're ALL here to share info and help each other any way that we can. If you're looking for a yes-person, you've come to the wrong place, and as a matter of fact, I wonder if we all told you just what you wanted to hear then with your lack of maturity if it didn't work out for you wouldn't you be back to lay the blame at our feet? Tony is on-the-money, you are childish and FAR FAR too touchy. TOUCHY TOUCHY TOUCHY! Time to take ownership of your mistakes and get on with life.
