Wow, say it ain't so!!! She needs to be flogged!!

Paula Deen's Diabetes Diagnosis: How Should Diabetics Change Their Diets?

A simple google will give you all the ammo to beat her up for her irresponsible cooking and for the fact tht she hooked up with a drug company and that she is a "Role Model" and she needs to tell those that follow her that they need to eat better....its her responsibility to be the proper role model.....

Hmmm... I don't know that it's her responsibility. You could make the case that it's the Food Network's responsibility. She has what P.J. O'Rourke calls the only fundamental right: the right to do as you **** well please. With that, he continues, comes the only responsibility: the responsibility to take the consequences.

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.

My mom always wants to make me Paula Deen foods...now, being my mother, she knows daggone well I inherited my dad's faulty pancreas and have been diabetic for 9 years. Suppose this is my bad for making her sole heir. Paula Deen's food looks and sounds good...but deadly to most.

No you can't!

I can't believe what I am reading!

What about all that screaming about personal responsibility.

Dude - that's just an abstract concept, mostly.
Instead of beating the woman up, how about giving her a chance to show how people who love to cook [and eat!] deal with the reality of being diabetic? Maybe she could help them too, as she learns to adapt to eating with an eye on the consequences.

Well unless you got a medical dog in the fight, I would say you may not get this.

I think she should have said something about her condition because it isn't about her but her image of being a southern belle who is representing the south through food. No matter, Bourdine and others who are super critical (like he has a lot to talk about) are looking at it as a competitive thing to trash a fellow tv cooking star (wow that even sounds bad - tv cooking star) while others have an issue with promoting high sugar food, seem to be upset without having an alternative foods for those with problems on the Food Network or their sister network.

None the less, I wouldn't bought her books but would go to her place in Savanna to have some food I could eat.
