Hello boys and girls,
I have couple of questions if i may
I would like to buy a van/sprinter.
I started reading on the forum but i am getting confused.


1)Do i need a CDL or just a regular DL
2)Do i need to start a company or i can drive a privately owned van/sprinter
5)Do i need a MC# or USDOT#?

Now, read this forum thoroughly, going back about two years. You don't have to read every topic, just the relevant ones. Do be advised, however, that there is currently an overabundance of vans.

1 legally no you do not need a cdl but some carriers you sign on with require it others do not.

2 No just lease on with a carrier your questions say you need the learning curve.

Still, though, read up. There's a lot to learn, especially about choosing your vehicle.

If you want to make some good money starting off buy a straight truck there's some good ones for sale in the EO classifieds. Check out the 3 axle freighliner with the 24' box and liftgate and low milage, that truck would be a money maker!

I would lean towards a straight truck. There seems to be an over abundance of vans. Over 50% of the job postings on this site are for straight trucks and tractors.
