People age. Truck driving is stressful. Look at some of the old guys who are out here who are barely 50 and look 70. I know I have aged being out here in the last three years.

I don't watch irt or the loggers...i do watch "The Deadliest Catch" and the fishermen, the "American Pickers" and their Sprinter, and the "Swamp People"...
I also watch "Pawn Stars"...(now if you can get "Chumlee") I also watch "Hardcore Pawn" which is filmed at "American Jewelry & Loan" at 8th mile and Greenfiled in Detroit....
Oh and when i really want a laugh, I watch the crew from "Lizard Lick Towng" and their "re-enactments" of their repossesions business on "Operation Repo"...it is sooo over the top it is hilarious....

I would bet plenty of drivers have and do watch the show. It is my personal favorite.
There isn't much reality in these reality TV show. All are scripted and hyped with competition. I remember watching a National Geographic Special on ice road trucking which spawned the IRT show. Some of the drivers from the National Geographic show were featured on the IRT show, minus the competitive hype. Why don't they do a show on the dudes that plow and maintain the ice roads? They are the ones that put their butts on the line!As for the other shows, all scripted! nothing real in them
