Except it didn’t happen. The shipper took one look in our truck and geeked out because there’s a bed and clothes in it, as if we live in it . He was expecting an empty truck. Might not even get a tonu out of it

Good news is, we did escape the cold and the insane Minneapolis drivers. Now in NC.

In NC we visited the corporate office; now we have faces to match names & voices . Also got two more Firestone Transforce HT2s, giving us a full set of fresh treads

Friday/Saturday: SC to NM. Now at the J in Albuquerque, after a night at the Petro in Grants. Been quiet here, but I’d rather compete with 3 other vans in ABQ than 74 in El Paso. Not 100% sure how long to hang out.

Just did a local recovery run. Delivery was to an Air Force base in the area, but the gate personnel wouldn’t admit the original driver because he was not a US citizen. Nice enough pay to buy steak and a room this weekend for my 61st

LOL LOL yeah that non-citizen you're talkin about is me and I am a citizen of the United States the reason they didn't let me on the base is I don't know they didn't tell me I've been right on basis before though over in Barstow so I don't know what came up that they didn't let me on this base but that company that you were talking about is a joke they owe me a lot of money and owed me it since before Christmas and won't pay me and play all kinds of dirty tricks with receipts and stuff and aren't paying me for all my miles ran I'm about 2,000 miles short this pay. I need a new company to work for ASAP I need out of this bleeding wound

We carry our passports to prove citizenship. Some bases, federal facilities and nuke locations are easy, some not. Sigi was born in Germany. A couple times she had to wait in the guard shack while I went in. Once, Navy site, she had to wait completely off site.
