I haven't read of anybody here on the EOL webesite running cell phone routes.

Am I the only one, or, is it a secret ??

Be safe.

>What's a cell phone route?

A cell phone route (loosely termed) consists of one or two (2) contracts:

The more popular contract is that you agree to carry relatively small piece electronic equipment within your vechicle for a minimum forty (40) hours per week (vehicle must be moving in any direction) and in return you will be paid $xxx.00 on a monthly basis.

Contract two (2) consists of the carrier (i.e., Verizon, Nextel, Cingular, etc., etc.) determining a specific route which you agree to drive until further notice for approximately the same amount of renumeration). (Could be a city route, particular interstate route at a particular time of the day, etc.)

I chose the first example. However, if the price is right, the second example would also be OK.

Be safe.

I have a contract with Verizon. I carry a small electronic device within my vehicle. When my vehicle is moving, the direction is usually forward. Occasionally it will go in reverse. In return I pay Verizon $xx.xx per month. I think I would like to switch to the Hedgehog plan.

Sounds like it might be a transmitter. A way to gauge reception in locations and times of day for tower locations.

This is like playing some kinda guessing game with a bunch of kiddies. Is it a secret?....... give us a freakin break.

Quit playing goofy games and just link to the information.

Chill. As has been expressed, don't tell people what to post, as long as it's in good taste and can be understood samantically and is in the proper forum.

So, hedgehog, it's pretty obvious that the rest of us aren't participating in this program, or even aware of it for that matter.

Are you going to give us any contact info or are you gloating?

I'll chill at my pace....not yours. Express THIS.

I'd certainly EXPECT someone to cough up the info once you start a thread like this one. If not??? then why???

I have seen other vehicles with the same small antenna configurations on the interstates for the past two years and have no way of comparing the pay for "hauling" these systems around.

So, I thought by posting on EOL those of us could share information as far as the pay is concerned. (I suspect the monthly pay is negotiated by all the drivers, all though I'm not entirely sure.)

The wireless cell carriers select certain transportation providers, depending on their locations and need for information. One of the companies that I do over-flow work for approached me 18 months ago.

No doubt I am getting only a percentage of what the company received for their efforts.

Be safe.

dispatched, I don't think, "chill", has a pace, but if it did you would be allowed to do it at your pace.

Sorry, but i'm not the one thats confused.

You originally referred to "chill" , as a "state of mind"

I'm simply supplying you with levels of my "chill" index.

I did suggest you relax, when I said, "Chill". And, I agree it would have put you in a "State of mind". But when you said you would , "Chill", at your own pace, you lost it. Now your are, proverbally, "Switching horses", when you go from, "Pace", to, "Levels of chill index".
