You make good points. I will probably end up buying a new cab chassis with slightly used sleeper and box. That way the important part of the truck is new and under warranty. I was surprised at how much I could save by using a used box and sleeper.
Your also correct in that I will need to spend a few months with a fleet owner before I put out my own $'s.
