WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, December 3, 2014, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, Deputy Secretary Mike Connor and Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Kevin Washburn will join President Obama, other cabinet Secretaries and leaders from the 566 federally recognized tribes at the 2014 Annual White House Tribal Nations Conference. ( how did we miss this?)

***** Now you tell me, why are there still Indians on Reservations and such . I just bet the American Indians are getting a kick out of us White Folk trying to fix the Black Folk. Aren't we doing such a great job?...........mercy.

I understand about the 'taking their land' and all; but isn't it ironic that the same things are happening to two races that are pretty much taken care of on the public dime? Loss of dignity, despair, rage, addiction, joblessness. Seems like the gov did this to keep certain people in their place. Afterall, you don't hear much from either group about liberty.

Reservation life must be exciting and rewarding,,,There has to be some Indians that look upon the government with disdain.

The white Europeans who 'settled' [though the Natives were already settled here] the US immediately [and with superior firepower] subjugated everyone who wasn't white, and they haven't quit yet.
You don't hear much about liberty from either group because they have a long history of learning how deceptive the word is.
