Amazing service on Rigmaster

I have to comment on some incredible service we have had on our Rigmaster generator. We had the oil changed on the generator for the first time at TA. Once the oil was changed the generator would not start...wouldn't even turn over and all the mechanics were baffled! Thankfully we were in Dearborn, MI and took the truck to Espar to have the Rigmaster repaired. Ray, at Espar is one amazing guy! He worked us in and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. His mechanic, James, is a magician! In case you have this new Rigmaster you need to know that the oil has to be added VERY slowly, otherwise it floods the generator and it will not start! We were back on the road in short order and everything was under warranty. Espar - we thank you again!!!

I've always heard good things about Espar. I'd definitely go to them if I were in the Detroit area and needed assistance.

I'd like to throw in a way to go for the unit itself. The new control panel automatically monitors battery voltage. As long as the power button has been pressed so the green light is on it will monitor and top up the batteries when voltage drops to 12.0 +/- 0.2v. You still have to set the Rigmaster if you want it to operate based on temp or time but for voltage it's automatic. I consider voltage the most important so I think it's great it works that way.

We also have the RigMaster and it is so great to know your batteries are being monitored. We also have a dog and it is great if you leave the truck we never have to worry about her being to hot or to cold. At night we just set the thermostat and go to bed. The great part is the generator does not have to run all of the time so you also save fuel. We have had ours for two years, we never run out truck and our generator has always done a great job with just routine maintenance.

I will throw in my two cents. We have had good look with ours. And, Ray @ Espar is top notch. Fantastic service and gets a repair right on the first crack.
I ran a post awhle back to see if anyone was running a Cat engine in these? We have one with the newer Perkins engine.

Anyone condsidering Pro-Heat? I cannot bragg about dependability like this on my unit.

Its a toss up if its junk or not. Will look at Rig Master if I ever get out of this truck, hopefully I have worked all the bugs out.
