"You just can't make it up ..."

Nope, you can't. I do not have ANY trust for ANY STATE OWNED "News Outlets". They are vile by their very nature, REGARDLESS of nation of origin.

So I'm guessing the same goes for the BBC: you don't read it, but you just know it's 'vile', right?
You also don't know that people who rush to share opinions & judgements on subjects they know nothing about have exactly zero credibility, apparently.

And people who have trouble separating news/facts from opinion/editorial have less than zero credibility, but always seem eager to display it. It's a conundrum.....
I'd welcome the chance to read Al Jazeera - at least I know the source. Unlike many news outlets already here, disseminating hogwash for unknown backers with hidden agendas. What have they got to hide?

NO state owned "news outlet", even the BBC, can be trusted. NO government can be trusted so their NEWS? is ALWAYS suspect. GOVERNMENT is the bunch with ZERO credibility. ANYONE who embraces Marxism has NO ability to separate fact from fiction.

Of course you would "welcome' AJ. It all makes sense.

Yes, it makes sense: welcoming a different perspective is how adults learn, while rejecting the unknown without a glance is how ignorance prevails.
Or were you implying something different?

I have 'monitored' "Arab Broadcasts" for untold numbers of hours. I listened to "instant translations" by men and women who had the "stones" to put their lives on the line to do that job. I have worked with and now know MANY "Arabs" who are sick and tired of the crap that their people are being put through by the radicals that are destroying THEIR society, much like OUR radicals are destroying ours. Those who I know that escaped the horrors from over there HATE AJ and what it stands for, for good reason.

Please let me know when you have even 10% of my experience with this and then we can talk. Until then I will listen to those who are on the lines, not spectators.

You didn't answer the question.
As usual, you went off on a tangent: proclaiming your 'expertise' and dismissing my comments as not worth considering. But we've heard your story about a million times already, so BFD. Everyone here has a story - yours is no more special than mine, or anyone else's, either.
Again: were you implying something else [when you said "it makes sense"]?

Well, you can believe what ever you want. For the time being that is still allowed here, but thanks to you and others like you, that will soon change.

You can also stop with the "faux" cussing, we have rules against that.

STORY? Experience is NOT a story, it is REALITY, a REALITY in which you have NO experience or background. Yes, experience is SPECIAL! Lack of it is not. MOST have little experience in defending a nation, including you. I don't care if you HAVE heard it a million times, I have heard your garbage that much and more. The difference? I did it, YOU did not. Rookies are funny.

A "different perspective" might help someone learn, whether adult or not. The key would be whether it is a "different" perspective or just another source for the same perspective. Rejecting the 17th version of the same thing already disseminated in 16 versions isn't rejecting the unknown and it isn't ignorant. If anything, listening for the 17th time might be the more ignorant option.

Again you imply something, without quite saying it - last post, you seem to imply that I'm a Marxist, and ignored my repeated requests to clarify what you meant.
Now, when you do, you can also explain what "you and others like you" means.

You can also stop with the "faux" cussing, we have rules against that.

Better look up the definition of faux - that was an acronym, and there's nothing faux about it. It was precisely what I meant. I don't hide behind coy insinuations like some people do.

After you explain whether you meant to imply that I'm a Marxist and what you meant by "you and others like you", you can explain the bit about rookies, too.

No need. YOU believe in redistribution of wealth. I don't. THAT is the HALLMARK of a Marxist. ROOKIE? Figure it out yourself, if you can. I erased the rest. Sure glad that I.............. never mind. It is not worth the effort. You cannot ...................., never could, never will.

You know about as much of what I believe as what Obama believes: absolutely nothing. The difference is, I can respond when you make such slanderous accusations. Got proof?

I don't.

So you don't pay taxes? Or buy insurance, either?

THAT is the HALLMARK of a Marxist.

Actually, the HALLMARK of a Marxist is the belief that the proletariat must overthrow the oppressive government with violence. Maybe you need to study it a bit more, before you spout off on it.

ROOKIE? Figure it out yourself, if you can.

YOU said it, YOU explain it.

I erased the rest. Sure glad that I.............. never mind. It is not worth the effort.

Now, where have we heard that one before?
You cannot ...................., never could, never will.

What I truly cannot, never could & [probably] never will is ignore the outrageous things you type - even though I know that getting you to back it up is like trying to nail jello to a tree.
Sometimes, I'm just in the mood to try again.

Funny ... if that's the only criteria, then I would think you certainly qualify as one ... or did ...

I mean, after all, you had an entire career in government - which is - as you well know - that entity which extracts wealth from some (often unwillingly and under duress), through the threat of force ... and then distributes that wealth to others - aka you - the (ex) government employee ...

Evidently this whole revelation about the "redistribution of wealth" was ... something that came to you ... ahhh ... relatively late in life ...

If you were to contemplate the above very thoroughly, you might find within it, the very reason why some seem to be rather skeptical of much of what you have to say ...

Of course, there will always be a few resident boot-lickers in every crowd who will, no doubt, hang on your every word ...

Al-Jazeera is a mouthpiece for Qatar's dynastic rulers, the Al Thani family. Al-Jazeera exists only so long as it pleases their autocratic monarch. We are in a global war between two great civilizations.
The above (highlighted in bold) is an absolutely ignorant and quite insane comment ... no doubt inspired by a religious fervor, quite similar in nature to that possessed by those zealots we are actually "at war" with ... which by the way, are relatively small in number ...

Two quite similar, but slightly different sides of the same nut-coin ...

I have to agree with Los on one point: experience is special. So special, that 12 eyewitnesses to an event can recount 12 different stories, with totally different claims of who did what, and when, and the vehicle they left in, and every possible combination of factors involved. So much so that eyewitness testimony is frequently considered unreliable until verified, and often debunked in a courtroom.
So yeah - that several people can 'remember' the same event in materially different versions is pretty special, I guess.
Question for Los: where do you get your news?

First off, there is a HUGE difference between a 20 year career and THAT type of experience and an untrained person that witnesses a crime. You are mixing up experience and observation.

I get my news from NON State owned sources and then TRY to verify what stories I can with input from those who were involved. I trust NO news source that operates in this, or any other country, at this time and have even less trust for STATE OWNED sources. They are doubly unreliable.
