Al Gore sells his TV channel to Al-Jazeera.

Apparently, the Bush administration worked hard to discourage American cable and satellite TV providers from carrying Al-Jazeera. Al Gore was more than happy to sell out to a network which doesn't necessarily have our best interest in mind.

How big is a "big whoop"? How to they compare to a "Small whoop"? What does a "whoop" look like?

Not sure why anyone would support any administration who felt it was their mandate to pressure cable outlets on what they chose to carry.

I guess it would have been a good idea to allow Nazi Germany to broadcast here in the days leading up to WWII if cable had been around then.

So you agree with government censorship then. You seem to pick and choose when you want them in your life.

During WW2, can anyone imagine a US vice-president selling broadcast access and capability to Joseph Goebbels?

One does not aid and abet the enemy. Your country took part in censorship in a time of war. One does not give a bully pulpit to those who are trying to kill you. England did not, Canada did not and neither do we. Don't like censorship? Look in your own house. All countries are the same.

Have you ever read Al Jazeera? And where did I say I liked censorship in Canada?

Nope, never read it. Monitored Arab radio/TV broadcasts for a very long time. Monitored their military communications as well. One does that with enemy communications. Sat and listened to linguists translate it while it was live. Did you?

Never said you did like it. I deal with problems in the United States, not Canada. What you guys do up there is none of my business.

Funny how you ONLY commented on ONE thing I wrote! What is your experience dealing with enemy forces?

So a news outlet you've never read is an enemy force? How do you know this? I never commented on the rest because it's that old "I did this back then, what did YOU do?" thing that you fall back on. Which has no relevance to this.
