I spoke with an expediter who had a 2001 GMC Penske like mine. He had installed a deflector that attached to the roof of the cab similar to the ones used on pickup trucks pulling 5th wheel trailers.
However he said he noticed very little improvement in fuel mileage with that setup. You may consider airtabs which are placed on the rear of the truck to reduce drag. Do a search on here for airtab or go to www.airtab.com. Some of the drivers on this site are using them and having good results. I am considering them but just haven't bit the bullet and ordered them.

MSinger, with your current set-up what is your range of fuel mialage? I am thinking about putting all of the headaaches behind me and getting rid of my Sprinter. You have a single wheel cube with nose cone box under 10,000 gross correct?

Actually it is a dual rear wheel cube with 10,000# even gvwr. I do not have any air deflectors at this time. It is a 5.7L gas and get 11.5 mpg in the summer and over 12 in the winter (possibly due to the formulated gasoline they sell in the summer).
