- boomers wanting to semi-retire and travel
I've been semi retired for 21 years and enjoying it; I've been retired from semis for the same amount of time; I've been semi retarded most of my life; I still have all my colon;Baby boomers all have good retirements. They should enjoy themselves before they become too sick to do anything.

You're stealing my future loads! I never had issues getting loaded out of CA. Not as an independent and not working for larger carriers. There are runs out here.

Ask him what the rate is, you might have a change of heart.
I can pass a med card, but gave up my CDL. I was depressed and cut it loose before I figured out what the problem was. I now know why I was feeling so unwell after the clots and have the issue under control. As long as I keep my mouth shut all my numbers look good for everything and my meds do not affect driving. You can drive on blood thinners.
If you can pass a physical then go for an under cdl straight truck, better money and if the truck has air ride and a nice air ride seat you will be much more comfortable.

I might even go back to truck driving school and get back into the big trucks, but there are no part time gigs in the big trucks.
I believe .70 is am pipe dream. Its more like .60 or lower. At least that’s what I’ve heard.Trip to California worked out. Loaded this afternoon, Fresno to Kenner, LA.

I know the rates are low. I used to get around 70 cents per mile out of here with Bolt. Not too bad considering, but that was in 2010. I think a few loads I got 80 cents per mile with Charles. I never got offered under 70 CPM though, but times might have changed. I'm just looking into surviving until my next medical event. Its only a matter of time for me. So, making a bunch of money is not really an issue for me anymore. It costs me 700 a month just in doctor visits and medication expenses these days. And I only see one doc and no specialists which I should not be doing lol. Survival is all I'm interested in.
Having a good customer base, or at least only one broker and a fixed rate can be nice. Other times not so much, like when the customer base has no freight, in the area one needs it.I believe .70 is am pipe dream. Its more like .60 or lower.
