After 43 years on the road, I'm quitting!

I have listed my Sprinter for sale. (Check the classifieds)

I'm not really promoting the sale here, just lamenting that a lifetime profession may be coming to and end soon. After 43 years on the road, I guess it is time ....

It's time to stop going like my butt is on fire and slow down with the rv and do some sightseeing of all the places I have gone by at 70mph ...

The wife and discussed it this morning ..... I have plans for working until about August, but if anyone want's it earlier that certainly is an option.

(One caveat, I am NOT interested in a lease purchase, I have been burned twice on them already ... please do not call for that option)

43 years in the business is a long time. I bet you have about 5 or 6 million miles under you belt on the highways. Good luck and enjoy spending time with your wife.

I think I remember you having a window a/c in the back wall of the sleeper? What kind of generator? Assuming everything goes with it?

Thats a bargain for somebody. You'll be out of a job soon...lol.

Monty,
That is a good price. If I was looking for another ride I wouldn't hesitate to buy it from you.
Have fun seeing the country without being in a hurry.

What more can be said in pictures- ever looked at 10 Sprinters? None are setup the same. How you heat/cool, location of etrack, vent and so on.

Just enjoy the retirement a little slower now. After you get through with the honey-do list that she hasn't told you about.haha Good luck

Yes, you are right Rocketman, it does have a window a/c in the back bulkhead, but I'll be keeping the generator. I can use that on the rv.

Eddie, I'll get some pictures of the unit and post them on the ad.

It has two row's of etrack on the floor, and one row on each side of the walls.

It also has a load bar, a pallet puller, 5 blankets, 4 straps and the doors can be sealed for freight requiring it.

About those "honey do's, Jayson .. you trying to ruin retirement! :p

I came close to retiring and give this fine and beautiful lifestyle up, but couldn't do it. I don't have a wife to RV with and when I talk to my dog he looks at me with the same look my X did so I guess I'm here for the duration. Good luck and I have to say this "You'll be back".

If all goes according to plan .. (does it ever), I'll be too busy to consider coming back, there will be no financial need ... but that diesel fuel is indeed hard to get outta ya blood! (I've taken breaks before, and always returned)
