Adco or Dynamex?

Hi everyone!
I have a couple questions for you guys. I'm living in Toronto,Canada
and planning get into expediters or courier business by purchasing van.
I did contact with ''Dynamex'' and ''Adco Logistics''and got it some info about the rates they paying and all expenses.
My question is which company is better choice by income ( might be more busy)and can i make good money by staying locally?

I don't know about ADCO, they seem to be busy.
Dynamex is a union shop in Mississauga. They are the local courier division.They recently signed a new contract. I know a driver that is reasonably happy there.
Dynamex in Cambridge Ontario is not union to the best of my knowlege. They are the more tradtional expediter company; more over the road trips.

Hi,guys.
I want ask what the difference between unionized and no unionezed company?
Second question is Adco van division that busy as truck division?
It seems to me only or not that Dynamex is better choice?

Habsfan: I don't know what the differences would be; I don't know anyone at ADCO so have no idea how busy they actually are.
I know that Dynamex at the Mississauga office near the airport is the SAME DAY division. They run mostly the GTA with a few out of town trips within Southern Ontario.
Sorry, I can't be more specific but I hope this helps a bit.

I will try also get info on EGL Logistics now. I heard it that they do local runs, and can make not bad money.

I don't know what Eagle does at YYZ (Toronto Pearson Airport). You could check into Action Airport Express too.
There are lots of courier companies who do same day local runs but I don't think the money is all that good in many cases.

I dunno about Dynamex in Canada but they run me as hard as I will let them here in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Well,I had tough luck recently,firts i got it job with EGL,as company driver ( to gain some experience and maybe get contract after that )but unfortunally I got sick, after 10 days of employment

When I came back to work they terminated my employment

cause I was still on probation. What kind of people are they ?

Now I'm looking again for work,did application with Sameday and Dynamex (Mississauga) but second one I have to buy vehicle.

Buy or lease ? That's dilemmaas as well for me.

Well, I will let you know later.
