Yeah, those ACLU liberals want what's best alright. And yes, there are some bad conservatives too but nowhere near as many as liberals.

Well another dumb spin on things.

First put the quote in context of the times, when we were looking for a way out of our problems caused by the depression. It was a horrible time in politics and political philosophy.

At the time, the soviet union (which wasn't communist in a sense, it was socialist) was examined and thought of as a place the direction our government could go in. The same held true with Fascism and even FDR had said a few times that Mussolini's Italian government was the direction he would like to see the country go in but we could do it better.

Nevertheless, the ACLU is not the most horrific organization that we have to fear, much of what they do is not outside of the courts and it is our fault that we don't insist on removal of judges or adherence to the laws we already have.

The one thing that they do provide is counter balance to those who only see a myopic view of government and religion - one in the same. They may not be the best organization to count on but there has to be a lot said when you have people running around like idiots screaming about Sharia law and Muslims as they did 65 years ago about Jews and 100 years ago about blacks.

Regardless if their attack is on religion or not, the opposing groups are actually more scary than the ACLU could ever be. We have many in this country who only want to have a "Christian" country, they come up with reasoning that borders on insanity that this country needs it or God came down and blessed only Chrisitans in this country.

Balance is more important and the issues that they present - negitive and positive - can be dealt with easily.

The organization is a member driven organization and if the people who seem to scream the loudest want to see it changed, then join up and get others to join to change the direction of the organization. With just over 500,000 members, it is a small group compared to the number of Christians who view the separation of Church and State is take way too far. They should invest $50 in membership and demand changes.

Oh by the way if we actually went the way of the soviet union, the legal profession would have to have a serious bloodletting and the state would make illegal organizations like this. You really think that those who derive their income from this organization would want the state to make them enemies of the state?

The problem with liberals is, The majority of them are atheists. So, If they don't believe in God how can they believe in Divine providence? Whether they like it or not. if you study history how many times has Divine providence been proven right? Oppression never lasts long, Socialism and communism always fails. All Communists and all socialists don't believe in God. if there is no God. Who is going to control the people? Well, They say government. Since there is no god. There is nothing wrong with slaughtering, Starving and euthanizing people. God isn't the creator of people. Science is, and who controls science? Government does.

This really could be the reason why Socialism and its difference forms communism, Stalinism and Marxism are all so destructive.

Religion gives a nation a moral compass to follow. Whether you are religious or not. Without Morals a person and a society cannot prolong itself. I believe that is why you see anarchists in the streets of England and elsewhere. What is the moral compass of these individuals?

I feel it is quite the opposite. I think a number of liberals and socialist are religious and fight for things that only liberals feel are needed for social justice. One such fight is open immigration and the church. A liberal cause, a organized religion, both seem to be on the same side more often than not.

The real problem is that no one has prevented a single person from practicing their religion by the ACLUs actions but those in some religions want to stifle if not regulate other religions that they are afraid of - THIS IS what Jefferson and others feared when they made the statement of no state religion.

I'm not religious scholar and I only say what I see. But, When I do see religious folks and churches who lean to the liberal side. They are all for interpretation and molding of the bible. They also preach Collective Salvation. The bible talks about individual salvation.

I would agree to a point that most if not all christian religions fall into the group of interpreting and molding the bible for their own purpose.

Reagan also swore the 'trickle down theory' would benefit the folks at the bottom of the economic scale, uh huh.

Yep, it is called the "progressive income tax" designed to keep old money in the old money hands, like the Kennedy's, and take it away from those who work hard and earn more, like small business owners.

The tax burden is directly aimed at the hardest working most productive members of the country and keep them in their place.

Liberal, socialist one in the same. The progressive tax is designed to keep us in our place. Most of Europe is socialist, most use taxes for social control. Most European countries are in control of their people. That is the goal of OUR government. The progressive tax helps them to that goal.

The ones who are laughing are the criminals in congress who keep pushing this garbage on us. They KNOW it constrains the people. They have been able to pass it off as "good" for years and laugh at us as we keep electing them.

When I look at the Democrat party. What do I see? I see people who want nothing more then to shut the conservatives up. People like George Soros creates companies to specifically shut down conservative talk radio or TV hosts. Whether you believe what they say or not. Why no debate? Why stifle free speech? I don't want to stifle the liberals free speech.

I see liberal democrat politicians who want to tax me on the type of car I own, How far i drive and what I put in the tank. i see them wanting to tax more of my income. They want to tax me more on donations I want to make. They want to tax me when I get financial gifts. They even want to tax me when im DEAD!!

The people i see supporting the liberals. Are, assaulting people, painting graffiti on public monuments, breaking windows in public places and sending death threats to people..

Seriously, Why would anybody associate themselves with those kinds of people? OR VOTE FOR THEM!!

They also campaign to take away free speech of my political party. Again, Why take away my right to debate? if what your doing is right for everybody. Why not allow debate?

No Obama supporter I, but before one of our liberal members comes along to defend their king, I'd like to point out that a president doesn't write tax code and can't be blamed for GE's lack of tax dollars......other than that, I agree with everything you've said here.
