They love to play the part of Robinhood or a super hero. I don't have a problem with using some of the programs as they were intended but the government wants to force as many as it can to be under their thumb.

I have no problem with some of those programs either. I have a GREAT problem when people are on them for YEARS or a lifetime.

Or when they refuse to take a job because they feel they are worth more but have no skills or education to back it up. They don't have the common sense to realize they have over valued themselves or are just using it as an excuse to stay out of work. I love hearing people say they should be making more because they are a hard worker. They fail to realize peoples definitions of hard worker vary GREATLY and you working hard for a company is something that is rewarded later not paid for up front.

Many make excuses. Many get caught up in the idea that they cannot make it. It can happen fast and easy. The MORE "help" given, the faster that occurs.

They are getting $35 per lawn where my dad lives. They are SMALL yards. It is EASY to do 10 a day, that is GOOD MONEY! We could not find a lawn service there that had an opening. Would have had to have gone on a "waiting list" to get one.

how much for the permits how much for the insurence . where are you getting the money to buy the zero turn . or are you just going to use your push mower . how many people do you think will pay you 35 to mow their yard with a push mower . now how much of that 35 will go into your bills .so your net is 15 a hour yes good money . but if your bills are more then that is it good money . .50 cent a mile is good money to , are you going to run for that .

You can't even get a zero turn into a LOT of the yards there. Stop looking for the reasons why you CAN'T do something, look for how you CAN do something.

YOU have the power within to succeed. DO NOT LISTEN to those who tell you that you cannot. There is ALWAYS a way.

What is Poverty in the United States: Air Conditioning, Cable TV and an Xbox

Continued at the link above..

The poor, what ever that really means, will always be with us..I read that in the Bible I think. My mother always said when we were going to give something away, we are going to give this to the poor. We had a lot when I grew up and my mother did not know any poor people because I ask her who they were and she did not know anyone by name.

You can loose ur job and be poor, or get sick and be poor, or die broke and ur beyond poor . Poor has different meanings to all peoples in the world. In China I saw poor, in Japan I saw poor, in the Philippines I saw poor. Guess what, they ate well, had clothes and shelter. Of course where I was it did not look like a fancy apartment complex in America, but poor no. Poor has different levels, so ur poor if u dont have cable, xbox, hvac, new Lexus, Humvee, mercy, I was poor as a cv driver, I ate fast food and such. LOL,,omy.

The "poor" were funny where I lived in Japan. Dirt floor huts with thatched roofs. Open sewers lined the streets, called "bejo ditches" I am SURE that spelling is wrong. THEY ate well and worked hard. What was funny was the TV antenna sticking up through the thatching.

i bet i could get a zero turn in there ,
i am not saying that i cant . but all people do have limits . like you with your age you cant do everything like you did at 20 . right . as people age some get heath problems that limit them . at 25 i got a limit .

you say about the government over regaltions . i am telling you it is hurting the unemployed people to . for many it is hard to start a business with alll the regulations today . all the premits .all the other crap . and if you dont have the extra funds . it is very impossable to start a business today .

then you say about picking junk . which is ok . but when your area has others already picking junk . what is going to be left for you .
i take it you saing that i would be the only one picking junk . and i telling you i will not be and the ones laid off before me already done that .

like going to a stocked lake . others have already been there and got most of the fish . you may get a few but not enough .

if i wanted to live in a dirt hut i would of moved to those areas . but i dont want to live in a dirt hut . if i knew i would be unemployed i would of buoght a wood stove . not a pellat stove . got pellat stove because not enough time to cut wood when i was working . pellats was the way for me at the time . now cost wise and time a wood stove . but if i was pycitic i would of know that . at that time . so is my need to make so much my fault .

same way with the ones with new or newer car loans . do you think most if they knew they would be losing their jobs do you think they would of got the new car. or maybe they would of got a used one or spent and fixed the old one up .

You know when people are without options then it is a problem but today, there are too many options. The real problem is a lack of opportunities and that is a completely different issue - because most do not understand or want to make their own.

With that said, taxes are not as high as they used to be. Amazingly most were not around when you made $25k and owed a lot in taxes.

Federal taxes are lower than they used to be. It is more than been made up for in other higher taxes. 40% is just WAY too much to be putting out in taxes. That is NOT enough for the idiots in charge. IF they took 100% it would not be enough. They would out spend that as well.

There are ALWAYS options and opportunities as long as one is able to breathe.

When are you talking about? 1950s or 60s? $25,000 then was upper-middle class. You could buy at least 8 cars on that salary. That bought 2.5 middle class homes. It's not the same as $25,000 now. Hell, it's not worth ten times that now.
