it is a lot of work.. this year im hoping for less Km and more money.. im getting a full size van all that was with a Transit Connect.. car jobs, local back n forths etc.. and anything up to 1200lbs that fit. had to overwork to make the money i wanted. surely now with a real van the dispatching will be different

there is no hours of service.. but can only do what u can do.. ill work all day and then pick up at 5 pm a 10 hour drive for delivery 7am . a few hr nap is possible on the way. then another few and come back.. several times got a pick up on the way back and ended up making a clean 1 dollar per km driven on the round trip.. those kinda things inflate the numbers. sometimes u get two different deliveries for different companies and each pay full. it happens.

93,000miles one year.. thats only about 1800 miles a week.. including local

Vans becoming regulated in the making right before our own eyes here.

I clocked about 150000 miles last year, DH included. About 300 days driving and 65 days non driving.

That translates into about 500 miles/day of driving.

On the driving day, @60 mph average speed, I would have spent 8.5 hrs on duty and 15.5 hrs for rest and sleep. Expediting is hard work:)
