About those Russian subs of our coast.....

The Russians move subs in close to test our reaction. They want to see just what we are going to do. The less we do the closer they will move in. They used attack class boats so we WOULD see them. They would NOT learn what they wanted to know IF they were NOT detected.
They are looking for response from ACTIVE sonar, ship movements and our counter by our attack boats. The weaker our response the more likely they are to move in their BOOMERS. The boomers carry the nukes, NOT the attack boats.
I can only hope that we reacted properly, a strong response. I have little confidence that our reaction was what was needed. Just a feeling.

don't include me in every one, while they take notice, I take aim. That would be my defence system.
and who is to say this isn't a Russian response to something we did? The military sure isn't going to announce that...and we can't play innocent...it could be possible...

I myself like to keep the chain tight and every once in a while give it a tug, you on the other hand seem to like to just hang it over the fence. I CAN RESPECT THAT!!

There is no longer any point to this thread, it has gotten VERY silly.
The sub wars are a VERY dangerous game. It take YEARS of experience to play it correctlly. We did it right for 40 years. It helped to keep us OUT of facing the Soviets face to face and keep the wars smaller and FAR less deadly. Ignore this and it WILL expand.
The Russians ARE expanding again and looking to re-start the old Soviet Union. They had to murder more than 25 million last time to do it. How many more this time?
No reaction or improper reaction gives them a "green light" for the next move.

to make this more serious....We are the ones that claimed to be putting a "defense missile system" on Russia's doorstep..and you know they were not happy campers..We could also have or had our subs too close....now Putin is doing the American counter move and put his subs here to give him his appearance of strength....move, counter move

Remember OVM, that we have OFFERED on SEVERAL occasions to PROVIDE Russia with ALL tech info and/or hardware to INCLUDE them under the missle shield. They are opposed because the WANT Iran and North Korea to be able to attack Western Europe and the US.
Their goal of dominating the US has NEVER changed. It is a shame we did not see that when that "WALL FELL" and handling them in a more prudent manner.

posturing pure and simple...Putin has the OLD guard after his butt for being too soft on the European missile deal...he has to aire tough for abit to hold power...
To accept help like this would show a weakness..would it not to the old guard waiting to re communize Russia...?
They will revert to their old ways unless we take a hard stance and RIGHT NOW!! So few ever really learned just how horrible the old Soviet Union was. Most of yoiu really don't want to know. Most would rather ignore things and hope they go away, they never do.
