About Shippers And Receivers

I have driven a Class A 53 FT trailer for a major carrier and am getting into expediting, what I would like to know is what part of major cities are the expediting shippers and receivers located, are they mostly big warehouses or small warehouses. Are they in the downtown or in the suburbs. thanks

It's hard to generalize here bt I would say most of the loads are from med to small co in the suburbs.It also kinda depends on what kind of business the carrier goed after IE. Auto factorys,etc.

I think it depends on the carrier you run with. If your carrier has a lot of automotive freight, you'll go to a lot of automative locations, typically large plants in the suburbs or rural areas. If your carrier does museum or trade show loads, you'll go to where the museums and trade shows are, often deep inside the cities.
