It takes at least 90 days to learn a new company and their systems to the point of familiarity and competency. That isn't enough time for expertise but it is enough to avoid the majority of pitfalls and issues. In many cases egos and tempers are allowed too much input into situations that could be resolved successfully. I'm not speaking specifically of anyone or anything, just commenting overall for those who follow this thread or may find it later.

When starting at a new carrier it's easy to look at one's prior experience and go in with fixed expectations and over inflated credit for knowledge and expertise. If one will go in with the notion they know nothing about this particular carrier and have a lot to learn they can usually succeed. The prior knowledge and experience can help clarify things as one learns about their new carrier.

Ditto to everything Chef said.........
don't take this personal, it isn't intended as such, but why not call Brian or Scott, discuss your situation with them. I'm sure everything that could be done would be done to resolve your situation.
As far as the 50% fsc, somewhere you got your wires crossed. This is how it works......You accept a load for XX. As soon as you accept, you send in a request as to how much to pre-load onto your card for fuel. Bolt will put as much as 50% of the total load offer onto the card, no questions asked. This % is determined by you, no one else. It's your choice how much you need up to 50%. Is it an advance? Of course it is, their paying you 50% of the load that you haven't even picked up yet....
As for taking a load where the pay won't even cover fuel expenses, why accept the load?? You have to know what it costs to run the truck, why take an offer for less than that. No one twisted your arm.
This is a definite miscommunication between contractor and company. Instead of blowing off steam on here, should have made the call to Brian and things would have been worked out. No matter what the out-come, everyone would have been much less frustrated.
That's my .02 cents for whatever it's worth............add that to Chef's .02 cents and you have .04 cents...........doubled your profits..........Only in America!!! lol

I haven't turned a wheel in this business yet and it will probably be another week before I do so I can not speak for experience in this profession, just from a business own in general. As LDB said, it is all about TIME and (to paraphase) egos that make or break our opportunities.

A famous golfer sayes in a current radio commerical that,

"we all make decisions, but in the end it is our decisions that make us who we are!"

We can let our ego and self preceived "expertise" control our decisions, our we can e humble for a while and "learn" what it will take to be a success in a particular system, or we can make a decision and move to the next carrier (in this instance) and wish in one hand that things willo e better, and "crap" in the other hand and see which one fills up 1st.
