Once our directions said turn right on Penn street and go 2 miles to pick-up. When we saw Pennsylvania Street we called dispatch and ask if this is possibly the street to take me to the pick up and were told no go to Penn street. Guess what 25 mile later I am now in a different city and called dispatch and was told to go back to Pennsylvania Street.
At the company I retired from we had a very simple rule. The rule went like this. If you take directions to give to someone else do not hang up until the directions are so clear you could drive there yourself.
We do understand dispatchers live in a very fast paced and pressure filled environment. Dispatchers play a very important roll and I really admire anyone that chooses that career. This is why we try making life better for all of us by using a GPS system.
God bless our Military and Vets.

I as well have had this happen at a few locations that we actually returned to later. SAME crappy driections. All my wasted time.
