A Slow Start This Year

It sure was a slow first week of the month.
We went back in service Tuesday, not really expecting to get anything out of Florida. And our expectations held true.
We are heading north on Sunday to get back in the freight lanes.
Anyone else slow or moving well?

Slow start for me. I've had 2 very mediocre loads and now I'm at the Oak Grove, Mo. Petro with my tires slowing bonding themselves to the blacktop.

Volume of offers low. Available trucks must be low cause we've had good back to back loads. Think we've gotten our last 5 accepted loads w/o a notification. All pretty decent loads.

Four loads this week. Three were around 500 miles total, the fourth around 300. Wasn't expecting much, so we met our expectations.

Good Week-Team 3000 or more paid miles.

I'm having a good week. Had a 527 mile load to start the year on Tuesday. Did a 662 miler Wednesday and am currently on an 846 mile load that delivers Sunday night.

As a team we have done okay this week. It started Tues with a run from Atlanta to New Jersey, then to Decatur then another from Missouri back to New Jersey that delivers Mon am. About 2700 miles total, and hope to get one more run Monday to deliver Tues. So far we are the only team up here.

Fingers crossed, tank full, ice in the chest and Rock and Roll blasting, just waiting to run.

We are looking at about 1700 for the week. Starting next week with a solo run. Be glad if/when we get another team load.

Took me from the 26th to the 5th to get out of the Chicago area. Looked on the Alliance board while there and there were 96 CV and Sprinters within 50 miles, not to mention the ST who would be willing to grab a CV load to get moving. Things had better get better, fast. I've been doing this since 99 (though only a couple years in a CV) and I've never been this slow even at this time of the year. Sad when Chicago resembles Laredo or El Paso, freight-wise.

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.

We've had vans in and out of Chicago, all last week, no problem....maybe your carrier is still on holidays?..;)
