A recent visit to Niagra Falls the American Side.

Just yesterday, I had the opportunity while on a load to go visit the American side of Niagra Falls. As an overall rating it wasn't bad at all. Granted, the view from the Canadian side is much better, but there was still a lot to do on the American side. Just watch your pocketbook, because prices can be steep. For example:
Parking: for vans: $10 semis $15
Maid of the Mist boatride: $12.50
Cave of the Winds tour (pretty cool) $10 they make you take your shoes off and give you a pair of ..."souvenier" sandals to walk in.
Fireworks everynight at at 9:30pm (free). Canadians let them off, but the best place to view them is on the American side.
cost to eat at the Seneca Casino buffet: $20 great food...but pricey.
Other than that, not a bad time. All I need now is a load out of here. Here's some pics.

Here's some more pics from Niagra Falls. The truck parking is just to the northwest from the big blue building there by the falls. across from the Denny's. No showers....just a lot that costs 15$. Also, there are certain routes you can't take to the Falls in a semi...gotta watch for those too. Anyways; here's the pics...sittin here in Newark, NJ and I need a load if Panther seems to have one....:(

We actually got to visit Niagara Falls very recently too, and we thought it was breathtaking! We delivered in Canada, so we headed down to the nearest truckstop and asked for the best directions to the falls. We got really great directions and a place to park right on the strip on the Canadian side. We were literally a stone's throw away from the major attractions at the falls in Canada. We, too, did the Maid of the Mist ride as many other site seeing things. We spent more money than I care to mention, but we didn't care. It was just nice to get out of the truck for a day and be a tourist!

I am including a few of our photos for everyone to enjoy.

Yep, I got my load out of NY going from Ct. to Phily. After that, I got a load going to Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC out of Newark, NJ...nope not the White House...lol...but it dropped only about a block from there. So I DH to the flying J in PA off of exit 49 on I 70 there. And I got a load from Export, PA to Bellfontaine, OH. While I was sittin in PA they hit me with another load going from Jackson Center, OH to Pineville, LA which is by Alexandria, LA. So I deadheaded down to the J in Baytown, Tx and here I sit. I need a load getting out of here, but it is only Sunday and I am 2nd on the Galveston board which does 2 a day. There is a team ahead of me.....it's hot down here!....i need a/c.....water......and a Walmart close by....anything to do down here????? I might go swimming at Galveston beach, not sure....need something to do.....
