Uncle Herman is on CSPAN 1 right now, pontificating live at the National Press Club ...... I can't embed a streaming feed, but this is more or less what it looks like :

"Herman Cain" — A BLR Soundbite

Someone please pass the white jacket with the straps to this fella before he hurts himself ..... or others .....
Are you trying to pass this off as authentic? LINK

You did give it a title that implies seriousness, in your world......just sayin'

The last sentence of the OP seems to indicate a degree of seriousness as well. If the clip had been recognized as political satire, one would think that links to the parodies of the other candidates would have been posted as well - or at least the link to the home page that you posted. You mean he really didn't say that stuff??? Please say it ain't so...:(:(

But back to the real world, it would be nice to see some sort of substantive comments that would indicate that Cain is falling back in the polls like Perry and the others have done. Name calling and juvenile ridicule may work for late night TV ratings, but in the real world it means nothing. From all indications in the polls Cain is hanging in there on even terms with Romney, having shown steady increases as more people get to know him and what he stands for.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - 2012 Republican Presidential Nomination

Evidently the Democrats are afraid of him, having started the character assassinations already with a manufactured bimbo eruption from the Politico lacking any credible sources or substantive details. It stands to reason that a strong conservative black man would be the last kind of candidate they want to deal with. Romney looks like the perfect mushy moderate to them, just like McCain did in 2008.

If the Republicans pick Cain then how in the world will the democrats play the race card??????That is what they are afraid of when it comes to cain.

Hmmm .... mebbe you're wearing some sort of specially-colored glasses that automagically filters out certain things:

"A stark, unfiltered look into the apparently random thoughts of one Presidential Contender, courtesy of Bad Lip Reading ....."

If the clip had been recognized as political satire, one would think that links to the parodies of the other candidates would have been posted as well - or at least the link to the home page that you posted.
Oh ...... is that how it works ?

Since I did indeed link directly to Bad Lip Service's clip on YouTube (rather than the site I found it on) that in itself actually made it (somewhat) easier for folks to locate the clips of the other pols parodied by Bad Lip Service ..... as Hawk so ably demonstrated ....

Evidently that fact appears to be lost on some ....

As far as the "one would think" aspect, no - there are actually at least two of youse that "would think" ..... but thanks for at least being willing to "man up" and admit it ......

You mean he really didn't say that stuff??? Please say it ain't so...
Well .... since ya said please: It's so .....

But as pointed on LRC, it's not all that much different than what he actually has said .....

But back to the real world, it would be nice to see some sort of substantive comments that would indicate that Cain is falling back in the polls like Perry and the others have done.
Give it a little time .... the "bimbos" as you put it, just erupted hardly 24 hours ago .....

BTW, nice job on blaming the apparent victims ..... one can only hope you never get the opportunity to sit as a juror on a rape trial ....

Name calling and juvenile ridicule may work for late night TV ratings, but in the real world it means nothing.
Well, judging from people's reactions to it, I wouldn't say nothing ...

Apparently, the above "revelation" is the result of a fairly recent personal "come-to-Jesus" moment for ya:

"Just more nonsense coming from Ron Paul's Loony Legion."

"The Ron Paul Legion of Loonies: here's the main one introduced in a rather lengthy article ... maybe it's this and a few other characteristics that make him so attractive to creatures of the full moon"

"Continuing with the subject of Paul's Loony Legion, here's another article that came out during his 2007 presidential campaign that introduces the neo-nazis, 9/11 Truthers, Holocaust Deniers and White Supremacists that comprise the RP Fan Club."

I'm quite sure that now that you've discovered the one true religion as enumerated above, you'll conduct yourself accordingly at all times in the future ....

From all indications in the polls Cain is hanging in there on even terms with Romney, having shown steady increases as more people get to know him and what he stands for.
Tell ya what Chief, I'm thinking this latest story about Herman's little (alleged) misadventures might have legs ..... so why don't ya update us in about a week or two ..... and let us know how it's lookin' then .....

My thoughts can be summed up in one word: R-A-D-I-O-A-C-T-I-V-E

Here's the problem (which seemed fairly clear to me, when I read the initial account) as outlined in an article I read today:

"Cain, who has led in recent Republican primary polling, acknowledged Monday that he was accused of inappropriate personal behavior at the National Restaurant Association. But he said he had no knowledge of financial settlements between the group and multiple women who complained of his conduct.

He later seemed to revise that story, telling Fox News that he believed one woman who alleged harassment received a payout of two or three months’ salary, according to a report in the Washington Examiner."

This guy appears to be (perhaps among other things) .... a serial "reviser" .... which, I would suggest, stems primarily from a lack of a valid strategy to deal with the things that come out of his own mouth, his inability to think on his feet, as well as being willing to try and "spin" his previous gaffes to the hilt when he gets called out .... afterall, poor Herman is just misunderstood, the media is misrepresenting him, ..... blah ... blah ... blah .....

The problem for Herman is that we live in the digital age, and what he says is recorded both visually and aurally .....

In a political context, he's a bit of a loose cannon .... and is inclined to stray off the reservation or stonewall when faced with being challenged on stuff by either the press or other candidates ....

In trying to be "cute" (or "hip" .... or sumpthin' ....) he often puts his foot in his mouth and gives himself footbullets .... and trying to "spin" it ain't gonna fly (except, of course, for the true believers ) ..... 'cause people can actually look with their own eyes ..... and hear with their own ears ....

Furthermore, if it is true that these allegations and the subsequent payoff/coverup actually happened as it appears they did, it says alot about his intelligence - firstly, just in terms of just attempting a run for the Presidency with these type of skeletons in his closet, then the subseqent numerous miscues in trying to handle it, and apparently withholding the relevant info from his campaign staff (the poor saps) ....

Personally, I think his motivation in seeking the nomination is largely a vanity thing (to the point of delusion) ... and I think the guy falls into the category of not being very bright .....

And then there is this, which apears to be just breaking today:

Herman Cain campaign’s financial ties to Wisconsin charity questioned

Notice how - yet once again - Herman is "unaware" (a fine quality in an executive to be sure ....)

That "tune" is starting to get pretty tired already, and it's still pretty early in the political season .....

Evidently the Democrats are afraid of him, having started the character assassinations already with a manufactured bimbo eruption ....
Got anymore of them "facts not in evidence" ?

Apparently, there were multiple individuals and settlements involved .... and that (accusations and settlements) did actually happen ..... one can tell as much by how it is being handled and what is being said (and what isn't)

from the Politico lacking any credible sources or substantive details.
Stay tuned ..... and don't touch that dial !

Herman is on Greta Van Sustern right now .... talking about the issue. It looks .... painful.

My guess is that that is probably a mistake - more "spin" in furtherance of covering the matter up is likely to put the final dagger thru the heart of his candidacy, when contradictory facts come out. And if they exist, they surely will ......

It stands to reason that a strong conservative black man would be the last kind of candidate they want to deal with.
I would suggest to you that there are many on the Democratic side of the equation that are just praying that the Pizza Man is the GOP nomination ....

While it's certainly true that his rhetoric has .... a certain type of appeal .... but methinks when it comes to engaging in any sort of discussion that doesn't involve the scripted narrative, Herman has been, and will continue to be, at a significant disadvantage.

Romney looks like the perfect mushy moderate to them, just like McCain did in 2008.
A possible classic, inspired by something I read in the comments section of an article, that may be destined to go down in history as the defining moment for the Pizza King:

..... apparently Herman has a little problem with his sausage or pepperoni .....

Well said. Right there my friends is Mr. Cain's biggest problem, he is his own worst enemy. This story would've gone away in a week, unfortunatley Mr. Cain is only compounding it and giving the press more to talk about everytime he tries to explain himself.

Probably would've been better if that Papa Johns pizza dude would've thrown his hat in the ring.

And then there were three:

"Herman Cain sought to refocus on policy Wednesday but his plan quickly went out the window as the day brought a series of new allegations about inappropriate behavior.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that a third woman experienced behavior by Cain that made her uncomfortable and considered filing a complaint but ultimately did not."

Herman Cain confronts more harassment allegations

This guy could end up making Bubba Clinton look like George Washington ..... when he was queried about what happened to the cherry tree ......

Is he still leading in some of the polls?

If so, then ...

Well, look who he's up against, of course he is leading in the polls. I like Herman Cain, I don't like all of his ideas, and his knowledge of foreign policy is abysmal. But, if he were to become our President(that's a big if), we are in trouble.

Here's Hermies problem. He doesn't communicate well. If you are explaining your position on abortion and you confuse the host, you have a problem. If you try to explain an incident that happened or not happened in the 90's, in which you had knowledge of the story coming out 10 days prior, and you can't put it to bed, you have a problem. When you go on a media blitz to try and explain what happened or not happened in the '90's and you make the matter worse in doing so, you have a problem. When you think putting Aegis class cruisers off the coast of Iran would deter a terroist act on the United States, you have a problem. When you think Iran is going to place naval ships off of our coast to fire a ballistic missile on our soil, you have a problem. When you say you don't want to see a Military confrontation with Iran, and you don't see it as "provocation" towards Iran by parking our Naval combat ships on Iran's front porch, you have a problem.

Last but not least and possibly my favorited. When you compare your foreign policy to making a pizza, you my friend have a problem.
