72 mph

Yeah, so what? On a bicycle is what. I've been watching the Tour de France. On the descents they are up to as much as 72 mph. On a bicycle! On a tire about 7/8 of an inch wide. I've done 34 mph on a bicycle and that seemed fast so I can't imagine 72. 2,115 miles by bicycle in 3 weeks with 3 days climbing mountains in the Alps. That is some kind of physically fit.

For sure thats clipping along on a bike. What lil bit of watching I have done of the years I have seen a few nasty spills. Wad a bike up at those speeds and you will know it in a hurry.
Closest thing I can relate to is snowmobiling and running 70/80 mph thru the woods with trees along side the trail while your just inches of the ground. After the ride it sinks in that your lucky nothing went wrong. To be young and dumb again :D
