A federal stimulus grant of nearly $500,000 to grow trees and stimulate the economy in Nevada yielded a whopping 1.72 jobs, according to government statistics.

According to Recovery.gov, the U.S. government's official website related to Recovery Act spending, the project created 1.72 permanent jobs. In addition, the Nevada state Division of Forestry reported the federal grant generated one full-time temporary job and 11 short-term project-oriented jobs.

Well that's refreshing but how about this.

We spent almost a billion dollars of money we don't have on the Libya operations to take the side of people we don't know about in a civil war and have gotten zero jobs created in the US.

SO should we not be concern with this, seeing many are using the revenge factor to justify our participation in the operation while the only benefit will take place for the countries of France, Italy and the Arab league??

ask barry he did it..he even did it on his own without any oversite...id be ok with it if we had boots on the ground in a large #, not this CIA bs, but real troops...at least they would be being used for what they were trained for...to kill people and destory things...

Nope I'm asking you, why are you concerned with 500k being spent but not a billion on a operation where we do no get a thing in return?

That 500k was spent here, on Americans not on someone in a far away land who may become our enemy tomorrow.

I'm with you on the money thing but it only seems trivial in the big picture.

i can't answer for barry...I said from the start he was wrong, how he did it was wrong and possibly unconstitutional and i asked why not go to syria....that being said, i pointed out if we had real troops in large #'s there doing what they are trained for, then I'd be ok with it...might as well use their training....

Most of us wanted no part of libya. Also because it is not just about 500,000 dollars it is about almost 1 trillion wasted on shovel ready jobs. That as Obama put it were not quite shovel ready. Also even if it was just 500,000 thousand dollars that is tax payer money.Every penny counts and as tax payers we have the RIGHT to call out wasteful spending.Hell as americans we have a duty to call it out!!Trust us we have just as much of a problem with billions being spent on a third war!As far as revenge goes nope but hey your unbeatable OBAMA took us there so we might as well get our moneys worth!

Well if every penny counted, then every thing that is used in the operation has to be replaced which means that our one billion in cost has a two billion price tag, again isn't that more important.

As for sending in troops, let's start with invading Mexico to help them coup with the civil war they have, we have a national interest in that, right?

they should stop letting business deducting stuff for taxes . pay what their gross is .no tax breaks at all .
no more deducting that blown tire , or when all 4 tires are worn out .no more tax break . no more deducting pre diem .
it is all part of doing business . if businesses dont like paying their share . then they can find something else to do .

if the business can deduct tires. why cant the workers . YEP only the workers get hand outs .

Don't take this wrong but that would mean I would have to pay more for the stuff because no business pays taxes in the first place - it is all built into the price of their goods or service.
