I think 50 new trucks added to the fleet would have an impact, but I still believe most of these are replacing red KW's.

And, we may be pulling in so much new freight that we may need 50 or 100 more trucks.

I'll drink to that............BUT

FCC, after seeing the amount of down time certain trucks are having may have decided
100 trucks are now needed to assure coverage of what 50 trucks used to do..........off to my room now....eheheheheheheh

With the rate of turnover at CC it's more like 50 trucks in, 75 trucks out. Just the way it is in this business.

Phil posted a state of affairs at Fedex a few days ago in an EOBR thread.
Too busy to look it up,but I thought the number of drivers and trucks was pretty stable from recently and a year ago.
Just sayin.....,

Should be lift axles on all of them. I was recently informed that their new Cascadia D trucks can only haul 8900#.

to the original op. dont worry to much about it. as a few stated, it is expediter svcs. replacing the red units they have with the new white ones so the can be fully logo'd so they can qualify for the bonus fedex is offering. not really adding any volume. just replacing.

Exactly, about a month ago I saw several of the red KW's at the TA in Lodi,OH that obviously had no drivers waiting for them.

They were probably getting some things repaired and being readied for trade in, as they looked road weary.
