This year Independence day fall on a Thu., which makes for a real long weekend. almost hopeless to stay out & keep busy.

if all goe's well, i will be home on Tue. then going up north to the hunting-shack & resort in the Iron Range. for 5 days. shooting, cooking, fishing, jetting & so.
FUN.

Only running short loads next week. I will be home for a 4 day weekend. Plan to install my new roof vent/fan. And eat, drink, see fireworks and enjoy.

Shorties Monday, if any. Gonna drive the family (direct) from Dayton, OH to Dothan, AL. Easy drive for me, but I bet it's gonna feel like 1953 miles with 5 and 7 year olds in the back seat.

I'm not sure yet, Moose, but always enjoy the 4th wherever I am. I've had a ton of fun at a variety of small and large town celebrations all over America.

If I end up near home, maybe I'll take mi aging madre out for fireworks somewhere after a grilled meal. If I end up on the road, I'm sure I'll hit the nearest small town and join in their celebration of Independence Day.

Nothing planned for me, I just hope I get a load next Tuesday or Wednesday Because I'll be in Orlando till the 3rd, that is unless someone offers me one hell of a paying load going long for the weekend.

I got home yesterday and will leave out on July 8th. We have a big pot luck BBQ each year here with up to 22 families and guest attend. I do have some down trees to cut up into firewood and a half a semi load of birch logs to move here to cut and split for wood. I'm sitting here watching the deer and elk with their babies feeding in the food plot. I clean everything out of my truck it's just ready to go back out. Happy 4th everyone.

I'm praying that the Lord get me within 500 miles of home so I can be home for that weekend but it's not what I want but He wants for me.

We are picking a load on the 4th. We will be coming home the following week. We have TONS of family coming in and are having work done on the truck in preparation for TVAL testings. Then to the Michigan Ducks Unlimited State Convention and lastly to TVAL testing. Won't make much money in July but the bulk of the month will be a fun one.

Well, that did not worked out as planned! im heading to a drop in way upstate NY on the 3rd, then loading up heading back to Minnesota. so i won't be home till the 5th late evening .
all i did wrong is tell dispatch "i won't mind staying out for the right price"...LoL,
i did not think they will actually have 'a right price' going so far east...
bummer!
