I ended up getting a load from PA to Wisconsin for Friday delivery. Before I got there I got booked on a 15 mile shorty. Bad part was 70 miles of deadhead through the backwoods to get there. Not my favorite type of roads that's for sure. You could say I was a little stressed by the time I got there haha.
But it took me to where I planned on parking in Rockford, IL. So it all worked out.
So far this is the #2 best week I've had in 6 months since switching to straight truck. I had a Saturday load that would of made this week #1, but the shipper changed their mind and wanted it done on Friday instead of Saturday, and I was just about out of hours.
Still hoping for another load this weekend. One thing I've noticed since going to straight truck from Sprinter, I get a lot of Saturday loads and some Sunday. In the Sprinter it became extremely rare that I would get anything on the weekend.
March was my best month so far, and April is looking to be better. Things are looking a little more positive now financially. I've been able to pay down a lot of the debt I got hit with on start up with all the unexpected repairs. My goal is to have all credit card debt paid off this month. That will give me some breathing room.
Positive Side note: John Elliott has retaken the day to day reigns at Load 1 this week. This has been the best news I've heard in a very long time.
