Tranny fixed or replaced?

Replaced. Said fluid was burnt and had metal in the fluid. Only plus side is that as it is a Mopar replacement part...2 yrs unlimited mileage warranty, same for the lifters and rockers arms.

Can't speak to the cam thing, but understand the quality control thing.
Put a silver Star trans in the sprinter, it was flakey, changed driveshaft to a dorman (replaceable u-joints). Despite the alignment arrows it vibrated @ certain speeds.
Quality is a real problem in almost everything these days.
