I pick up my new 2014 Promaster 2500 high top extended diesel van Tuesday on my birthday. Loaded with options and traded my 3500 ext. Chevy van and my 2011 F150 4x4 pickup in on it. Out door for under 38,000.00 before down pmt. can hardly wait. After letting my driver go I will run my self but in comfort.

Happy Birthday Big Man.

Question: Do they make a 2500 extended? I thought only 3500 come extended.
Anyway, I hope it will give you years of trouble free service.

I mean the high top and long one. 3500 is only extended one. I was going to get 3500 but after reading on here decided 2500 was just as good. I hope it does good and better than my 3 Sprinters I had new back in 2003, and 2004. Had 2 high top vans and 1 chassis with 14'box. My Chevy 3500 was a good van but need the height and larger door opening for more freight opportunities. Plan on Honda generator and small appliances later this yr since I live in Nebraska and will be quite a spell before I get loads back home. Want little deadhead. New company also pays 1.05 to 1.15cpm versus .80 to .95 in Chevy. Was averaging .94cpm in Chevy.

Let us know how that front wheel drive handles going through chocolate frosting.

Drove it home 175 miles in strong wind and handles real good. Seems heavier than my previous Sprinter and seems more stable. Got 22.3mpg city/highway. Manual/automatic transmission is something to get used to. The emergency brake on left side of driver seat is making it hard for me to get out. First time I got out it caught me in the rear and hung me for awhile, hurt but was quite comical if u saw it. So my Ram Rammed me. Lol going to see if can be relocated to other side. Also want to replace seat with suspension seat. Will be back on road March 17.

I could get into so much trouble with this one.

I' m still trying to figure out How this could happen ...? My e-brake is mounted 15 inches below seat and 1 inch from seat frame ....pictures of inncedent would heĺp....:p

I have a bad hip and have not installed running boards yet, so when I get out I turn on seat and slide down to ground. With brake on in up position I slid over it and it took advantage of my booty on the slide down. Funny but a bit painful also. I am more careful now.

I only set brake while standing outside so that I understand....did you get heated drivers seat..? because it feels so good somedays

No heated seats. Back up camera, rear assist, shelf above windshield, power heated folding mirrors. I am happy with these. Don't know why they did not put Sirrius satellite in but I have my own. U connect is nice too. Bought a 100.00 twin air mattress and will add insulation and generator etc. later.
