I have a 2012 268a Hino and would like to know what the proper procedure is to get the DEF quality malfunction light off on the dash. I have already drained the tank and refilled but the light is still on. Also I have Hino Dx 2 software program and there are no codes stored in engine,doser,burner ecu's. Thanks

Connect to the engine with DX2
Click on engine to open the links at the top of the screen
Select data monitor and active test
Open active test
Go down to the bottom of the tests and select "urea scr related memory reset"
After you reset the scr memory your light and alarm will go off... until whatever it was that set the light sets a fault again. 2012 Hino's use the Nox sensors for def quality as well. 60% of the time its a bad nox sensor.

I agree. I actually ran into this exact scenario today on a customer's vehicle.

I was wrong. It has escalated to an SCR catalyst.

I tried the cheap thing first. Oh well.
