DPR CHECK light is on, cannot remove with Bosch scan tool. Excessive amount of soot exiting tailpipe. Multiple codes all DPR related. DPF filter replaced about six months ago. 310,000 miles. SCR control unit internal fault code is one of the codes listed.

What codes? If the DPR is smoking it is breached and will need to be replaced. The DPR itself is not your problem, its upstream of the DPR 70 % injector failure, 20% exhaust brake adjustment issue and 10% Burner/Mantle/Atomizer issues. Codes and any injector or exhaust brake history would help possibly narrow it down. SCR (DCU) faults will not cause a dpr to fail. It is a seperate issue.
