I am considering changing my own fuel filter on my 2007 Dodge Sprinter, but not sure just how complex/tedious this would be. Just trying to see if I can save a few bucks (like a hundred or so?) by doing it yourself. My manual says to replace it along with every oil change, but this seems like overkill. My garage mechanic who does my oil changes doesn't want to tackle it, and I'm adverse to taking it to a Dodge dealer and getting ripped off with $100/hr labor charges. My Sprinter has 130K on it, and I think the fuel filter was changed at least once (I bought it used, with 120K on it). I have a pretty good mechanical aptitude and have done many fuel filter changes on marine diesels . . What say you?
